I don't remember to whom I said that this thread was "read only" for non-players, but I do remember it was a baseball fan, and the comment was made in jest. My suggestion was that if they want to post, they should get in the game.

We will, of course, make an exception for Bethie. I expect to see her shaking her pom-poms here on a regular basis.

If anyone is having trouble getting their computer to shut down, or disconnect so you can shut it down, it may be the ESPN site not letting you disconnect. I have tracted it don't to the site not closing out all they way when you leave.

That may be the reason why you can not get on as the site is over busy as it is full with cases that are not fully disconnected. Just thought I would pass this along. If you never have had a problem you are lucky.

I remember when we started the league and you joined. I saw member # 39, and said to myself "Who is this guy?"

You had about 300 posts at the time, so let's see...most of the last 700 or so are on the mini-sub-board here.

You probably won't be getting too many congratulations. Everyone on the main board is still probably wondering "Who is this guy, and where are his 1000 posts?"

I remember Buffy did a sort of "Where are they now" thread, and Don Sicilia was listed as an old timer. I couldn't ever rember seeing his name, even though he's only a couple inches away from me on member numbers. That's the same thread SC called me "old". Which I still haven't gotten over, btw. Now that Doucheman is in 1st place here, we'll probably never get rid of him. :p

DB - I have always made it pretty clear how I feel about most congratulatory threads but I have to say it is amazing how you have been here 2 years and have only managed to post 1000 posts. It is the whole quality over quantity thing. You have always been fun and respectful and TRULY one of my favorite people.
