DS - I think FS was referring to Pork's earlier message on the various games he plays - fantasy sites - etc. Also I will be off site next two days for work so although I would love to be able to chat with you guys and gals opps gal - I won't be able to. Somehow I am sure I will manage to survive. But DS - hope everything goes well with your move tomorrow - hope all is completed as you want and that you get everything moved in 1 piece - especially that video like game that you have. Seriously though good luck with all that - it's always a bit exciting but moving is never that much fun.

Oh, the joys of home ownership... So I call today to set up my coming in tomorrow and to confirm that the end date was in fact August 21st... Nope, they said it was August 31st. Anyway, I have it in writing that that the date is August 21st. I am coming tomorrow and if I'm not happy with what they've done, heads will roll. Alright, serenity now! In any case, it looks like I'm moving late next week instead of this week like I thought...

This Martinez-Hudson matchup is one of the best of the season, so the majority of us will either sink or swim together there; our offensive lineups will make or break us.

You taking notes, FS? :p I understand your point. It's just right now, my lead isn't even big enough to protect. All things equal, I just thought the Woody matchup gave me the best chance at points. Of course, this decision was made before the 14-0 explosion of offense last night from the Team Formerly Known as the Pirates. By the way, I never knew that about Joe D. If he would have just eked out a hit in that 57th game, that would probably be the most unbreakable record in all of baseball. That and Cy Young's win (and loss) total.

Dammit!!! When I peeked last night, my fuzzy math had me surpassing the current 3rd place but I knew there were still 3 games still going on. And as already noted, this day is a BUST!. Will all come down to offense - which NORMALLY doesn't make as much of a difference in movement as a bunch of different pitching as in the past few days. Gotta admit, that was kinda fun! Of course, I made some really good choices so ESPECIALLY fun for me! Speaking of busts....well, my breaststroking certainly didn't distract the Pork Chop enough to slow him down. No match for the Dickey, huh? Ok, Pork, now I am on my back - floating. Go ahead. Take the Rangers tomorrow

It also would've garnered Joe D. some big bucks. Heinz Ketchup ("57 Varieties") was prepared to pay him $10,000 if he had hit safely in 57 straight games. That was a lot of money back then.

BTW, Hudson was scratched last night. We're up against Hardon; I mean, Harden. At first I was thrilled, but then saw he had a microscopic ERA that was rubbed out his last outting...

Allright, so my curiosity got the better of me and I peeked at the Top 5's offense. Since we all, sans 1, are going with Pedro.... Interesting observation: (Or in other words - how do you expect me to get on top again if we all are thinking alike???) I share my catcher with BD my 2B with DB my 3B with BD (thank God noone's initials are VD!! ) anyhoo.... my SS with all you guys (A-Rod lovers) my LF with PL and JG my CF with DB my RF with JG and PL and my DH with BD The ONLY person I have all by my lonesome is my 4 million dollar 1st baseman. I don't realistically see me getting the double digits I need to forge ahead - but of course you never know! Interestingly enough, the number 6 place sitter SC has 6 offensive players EXCLUSIVELY! Shares those 6 with noone in the Top 5. I keep telling myself he is far enough back I don't have to worry about him TODAY. Yep, I keep telling myself that!

I see that Bad Daddy, one of the few lone wolves today, had time to peek in here in between meetings. Buffy and Bad Daddy should stop comparing notes. That's why you two are right next to each other, like peas and carrots. To all you Pedro lovers, I sincerely wish you all the luck in the world. It looks like Pedro was the pick tonight and I will be kicking myself for that oversight. :p
