EDIT: 10:50 and not sure what happened but Pedro just gave up 2 runs in the third. I hope it was nothing I said, I still have faith in him, keep going Pedro there is still a lot of game left.

Dam, that was a ruff night. Both on the baseball boards and sleeping. I feel like I only slept for a half hour or so. Teams were all screwed up last night.
A friend told me last night that baseball games are worse then women, just when you think you have them figured out, things change. Boy was he ever right. Oh and this guy has a tuff time holding onto women also!

To mimic one of of our own....this difference in pitching staffs is gonna "seperate the men from the boys" (?); the cream is going to rise to the top....

Only two things make me feel even the slightest at ease today: 1) that Nomo has only given up 5 ER's in his last 29 innings.....and 2) I have no curse of Pork today .

Getting back to business, there are no afternoon games again today. No clear cut choice for pitching staff. We should have a lot of movement among the top 8.

One thing I have learned already in life. You can not stop TIME. So you have to enjoy it while you can. Stress kills! and things that start with B are always stressful. Babes/Broads, Booze, Babies, Boards and Baseball all start with B and are all stressful!

Then there is that other wonderful word that starts with a B and is so peaceful if used in the right way.- Breasts!

Random Thoughts

- I'm starting to worry about my Cubbies pick. This is the first time all year that I picked them and it wasn't Prior or Wood pitching. I don't even pick Wood all that much anymore, because of his penchant for giving up homeruns, and lately, grand slams.

- You guys should look at my lineup and pick them for the next day. I can distinctly remember 3 or 4 players in the last week that I dropped and hit a homer the next day.

- Picking a catcher was hard today.

- I hate commuting!

- A lot of players that we picked in the first half aren't picked that much anymore. Remember the days we all had Patterson (I know he's injured), and it would be normal to see Chacon, Sabathia, and Runelvys on our pitching staffs.

- No starting pitching staff in the majors can match the A's. The Cubbies, Dodgers, and the D-backs come close.

- There was no funnier moment so far than when plaw called Bad Daddy his honey.

- I have never seen a more cursed bunch- Curse of the Pork, the former Bethie Curse, the Bad Daddy Curse (although we rarely see this one anymore), Rip Van Winkle curse (haven't seen this one that much either). That's 4 out of 12 (when we were going strong). 33.3%! In the general population, this percentage should be 8%, tops.

- And to rile plaw up again... wins, saves, holds, team rebounds - what stupid statistics...

You better watch out there mister! Pl may get upset and have the big one right here on the boards and no medical help on site!

I for one do not want to watch you give PL mouth to mouth to save the first half Champion!
