OFF TOPIC ALERT: Anyone catch Kobe on TV last night on the Teen Choice Awards? (yes, I was surfing towards channel 25 ESPN ) He got a standing O from the whole audience and speaking of athlete's wives...his did NOT look happy. Like she wanted to be anywhere but there. I personally wanted to be with the Rock

Just to set the record straight....
I may be a metrosexual, but I'm a monogamous one. I have only one honey, and she doesn't post here.
Perhaps JG or SC will be so kind as to post a picture of her/us from our night out in June. Actually, it should be a picture of us . If it were just her, nobody would believe that she belongs to me.
Then you guys can eat your hearts out. :p

Four of the top five finishers from the first half now occupy the top four spots in the second half. Maybe there's more skill to this than I thought And everyone, except for our league leader (and HH), has at least one player in today's doubleheader :p A couple even have two

Figures, with the weekend approaching I would do a total nosedive. I hate this game, I may not even play next year Can you say clueless? What was I doing yesterday not to see this? As if the sleep deprivation this morning was not enough, now this - I am totally cranky. Wonder how hard I can wish for rain in Boston??

Oh joy! The DH is an early game!! I can be completely miserable when I go home tonight! My boss just called and wants to do my annual performance evaluation this morning. Like I'm in the mood to talk about what I am good at! Let's see: Boss: "Buffy, what are your goals and objectives?" Me: "Well, I REALLY want it to rain in Boston this afternoon."

Boss: So how do you think you can become more efficient? Buffy: Well, I wish there was a website such as weather.mlb.com so that I can go there to find out where it's raining? Also familyissues.mlb.com and doubleheaders.mlb.reminder.com is pretty self explanatory! Boss: Very good. I'll see what we can do. How well are you relating to your peers? Buffy: Hmmm... Interesting question... There is a guy I call the devil every now and then. It's all in fun though. Also, I'm sick and tired of people who have curses. They drag me and my team down. I do like guys who talk about their Wood a lot though. Boss: They drag your work team down? Buffy: No, my fantasy baseball team silly. Boss: Oh, I should have known. A couple of more questions... How would you rate your performance this first part of the year? Buffy: Well, I finished in 3rd place for the first half of the season. Totally bogus. I started two days late so I can make an argument* that I'm in 2nd*. Right now, I'm not doing so bad. I'm at the top of my game, giving a hundred and ten percent and believe you me, giving more than a hundred percent is nearly impossible. Boss: Good for you Buffy. One last question... If there's anything you can change, what would that be? Buffy: The first thing would have been Karros... goatee... enough said. But since that's already done, I would have to say getting , Bad Daddy, SC, and Pork off my butt. And one other thing... no more dumb chick jokes!

Yep, I imagine that is about how it will go. My boss is a little TOO hands off. I imagine our whole conversation will last all of 5 minutes. I always get the stellar review go, figure. Now, about that raise..... Originally posted by Don Sicilia: Buffy: Well, I finished in 3rd place for the first half of the season. Totally bogus. Too scary DB! "bogus" is the word I throw around work all the time. All my work passwords etc. are "bogus". And for you sneaky types, I use it only in work, so don't think you can come in and mess with my roster . Though my fantasy team IS pretty bogus, I use that other password - the one I gave y'all already - "ecnahCtaF"........

No one took either team for the double header? First I never even saw that there was a double header today. I have to spend more time with my team if I ever want to climb back up to play with the "FIRST HALF BIGSHOTS" In the poker world, I am what they call Dead Money ! So what, I'm here for the fun. Still only 31 points between 2nd and 7th. Buffy with a nice 61 point lead going into tonights games. By the way Good morning all! Where did the morning go?

Hey, I've played some of those games, too Anyway, Trot hit one out, too - woohoo! Too bad I didn't have Mirabelli, though, to make it 3 Damn, good thing I didn't pick Boston PS like I was tempted to do... Birds have 10 runs and counting... most of that action from guys NOT on my Boston-heavy roster...

Hey JG, I have Mirabelli, or didn't you notice? :p I have a strong feeling that by tomorrow morning the standings will very closely resemble those of the first half Unless, of course, the pallindromic combination of DB-BD don't hold up their end.
