Yea, the second half seems awfully close. Maybe we got used to the latter part of the first half when it was pretty much decided, but I don't remember it being this close last half. I think it's because we have a solid 8+ players playing everyday while last half (at the beginning), there were maybe 6.

By the way I agree with you on that kiss poster, but have you seen the new one on the banner the last few days. Now there are a set of twins for you! Reminds me of the bar maid at the pub when she leads over to wash glasses!

I didn't really play much of the first half, so I am not sure, do you think the scores have been higher so far this half. Seem like many 50-70 points days.

I think it's fair to say that scores are a bit higher (but not by much) than it was in the beginning of the first half. It's probably because we have the benefit of the knowledge of who is doing well right now, whereas in the beginning of the first half, it was difficult to tell who was good (Patterson) vs. who was a flash in the pan (Runelvys, Chacon).

Like in the first half (and as we've said numerous times), scores will probably drop down to the 45 - 50 average after we get more bumps up in value for the superstars.

No way, no sour grapes here. I never thought I would get anywhere near the top. I figured if I could stay in the middle of the pack I would be doing well.

Sorry, Buffy we are Equal when it comes to this. No chicks vs. guys. Even tho we would rather watch the women in other sports. Games like this have no sex just like in poker, a player is a player. You get what you see when your eyes are shut, just another player.

On another note Texas had been 0-59 this season when trailing going into the ninth inning. Yankees This one is taking longer to let go PL!

I agree on the equality issue, of course. I have been playing the fantasy sports for YEARS and you would not believe the people who think I don't know squat about my sports. There are still those who think us women need to stick to talking about shopping, Cosmo, recipes and babies....(ugh!) The men I know here can be brutal - thinking it is still a man's game exclusively. That's fine. I have them all confused. I still fetch 'em beers as I strategize to kick their hineys.

I live in the desert. It is quite a trek to get to the beach but I do at least once/twice a year or more. This is the first place I have ever lived that I didn't live less than a half mile from the beach.

I have a perpetual honey brown tan - us olive people don't burn. But if you need someone to rub you down with sunscreen Bad Daddy, I am sure some "honey" here would do it.....

Reminds me of the time I won a large amount of money from a guy who was holding a full house Aces over Kings. He would bump and raise and push that pot right up there! Mouthing off the whole time. He had the nerve to tell us all that we didn't know how to play poker. If only I had a camera when I turned over 4 tens and pulled in all his money!

The best part was that he was third anyway as another player had 4 fours. Now that was a hand and some great memories too!
By the way we never play wild cards, that is not real poker.

And to Buffy - I get to the beach at least once, more so twice every year since I was in high school, with the exception of last year. This was only my first opportunity to 'share' and besides slipping from second to third I wanted to talk of something besides baseball.

We landlocked midwesterners rarely get to see the beach. There is a "beach" by Lake Michigan, but it's not the same as being next to a huge, sprawling ocean. I rarely go to the beach, but I have been a couple of times this summer as a fill-in for a buddy's beach volleyball team.

Easy. Thongs.

Ocean City? Isn't that the town that time forgot? Isn't prohibition still in effect there? If that is where you are, I guess there aren't many thongs to look it; thong-wearing is probably prohibited, too.

Yes, Ocean City. A friend of mine has a house here - and you would be surprised at what you can see on the beach now. And regarding being dry - true the town is dry but you can be out of town in 5 minutes.

And WildWood - now referred to as The WildWoods - I was there yesterday.
