Pl, thank you for what I have known since we started the second half. I need more punch from my team. This can be hard with a cap and all. Anyone can pick the best at each postion but keeping it level with day to day pitching starters is tuffer then it looks. Lets get real here each player is only human and are not on top of their game each day.
Factor in players who get hurt, bad weather and who is having bad mental days and you just want to shoot yourself. Christ I looked at one player with good statistics and then researched a little more and found out he had retired in JUNE! Why is he even in the players selections?

Now as far as this tread having the most post? Who cares if you have thousands of posts if most of them are in some dumb word game, music game, or kiddie game. THIS thread is about real posts!

with so few games set for Monday do you put players in that aren't playing to protect their possible lower/higher vaules? Or do you fill your roster so everyone is playing. Say this may be a big jump in $$ do to the week and a half term and the start of the 2nd half adjustments.

Yes, you are right I do have the way of the game down, how to get started, pick a team, stay under the cap, what buttons to hit to get around the boards and even how to read the statistics, how to find the standings and even find hidden research items. It took me a while to find everything that you folks were talking about.

I guess I will find my answer by looking, rather then posting. I should have known and paid some more attention in the few weeks I played at the end of the first half, but being so far back I never noticed that part. Oh Well,

I knew Mets game wasn't a double header. I wasn't too thrilled with my 1st choice. After thoughtful..hahaha..consideration I decided to go with the cheaper choice to get better offense. I know I'll probably being singing Geoff's "Go with your first instinct" song before the day is over. But...that is the life I've chosen.

Christ...we got BE, BD, DB, JJ, JG......it's our own little alphabet soup here. Only LDV and SC are safe. Hopefully noone gets finger happy and does a type O and puts someone's wrong initials next to a bad day. That could really piss people off.

Collusion Uncovered In Fantasy Baseball League

Scandal rocked the Gangster Bulletin Board Fantasy baseball League this morning with the revelation of possible collusion between three of the league's managers.

The potential misconduct came to light early this morning, when it was discovered that JGeoff, LaDolceVita, and Beth E all selected their teams for today based on the erroneous information that the Milwaukee Brewers-NY Mets matchup was a doubleheader.

It is believed that the three obtained this information from an ESPN website which lists probable pitchers for each day's games.

Beth E, the first of the managers implicated in the scandal to comment said "I knew the Mets game wasn't a doubleheader. I just decided to got with the cheaper (pitching) choice to get better offense".

Plawrence, manager of the last place Black car Drivers, said "I won the first half. No one take ever take that away from me. No one. Ever. They can plot all they want, but I still won the first half."

Hollywood Hagen, who started late and has displayed minimal interest in league activities, stated "Who has time for this? I'm busy composing a post to rail against the gay-lesbian high school about to open in NYC"

JG and LD have yet to comment. It is believed that they are conferring privately to get their stories straight before issuing their statements.

Beth E just reports she thinks plaw has too much time on his hands. She is also putting her hex on the Phillies to ensure her quick assession up the ranks.

I actually had on my palm pilot that there was a doubleheader for July 28th for a rained out Brewers-Mutts game on June 3rd. I think what they did was change this into a four game-four day series instead of the usual 3 day series.

So..is it or isn't it a d\h? Both times on the schedule say 7:10. Kind of hard to have a d\h at the same time.

I don't know what they originally planned for the rainout (I think there were two games rained out, June 3rd and 4th. One was made up as a DH on June 5th), but on my original printed Mets schedule, today is an open date.

Today is absolutely not a doubleheader.

Amid rumors and accusations of fraternizing and collusion between managers of certain fantasy baseball teams, LDV went public in a statement this morning before the Associated Press.

"I'm not certain the direct root of these rumors. It sure sounds like sour grapes from the person(s)sitting near last place. Anyone who has ever worked with me knows I am not a team player and am fiercely competetive, almost to the point of being selfish. It is part of my charm."

When asked if there was any truth to the rumor that she and JG shared information regarding today's erroneous double header LDV stated "I was out of town all weekend. I am sure the other managers were aware of this as well, as I make my personal plans everyone's business to the point of pain".

When asked if she has ever fraternized with JG or any other members of the Gangster BBC League, LDV replied with evident rolling of eyes "I have had an occasional cocktail with a few of the other managers. We have talked about non-sports related things, but I am not stupid enough to share strategies with any of them. Remember, I am the one that fell from 1st to 4th place yesterday".

"As for the bogus D/H today, like DoucheBigalow, I had made a notation in my day planner to such. When poring over the stats late Sunday night, it appeared there was indeed no double header that I could find, but in my tired, jet lagged state, I wanted to have insurance so I picked a few players to put on my roster, just in case. Monday did not have many teams playing anyway."

Asked if LDV will retaliate towards plawrence for liable or reporting misinformation, LDV said " plawrence will get his. I am not concerned with the things he brings to the press knowing his reputation. If plawrence can indeed PROVE collusion, I will pull a Piniella and dye my brown hair - blonde".

Reuters News Agency did confirm LDV was out of town with no internet acccess from Saturday morning to late Sunday night.

When asked about racy photographs found at her home last week, rumored to be used in some kind of side wager for the fantasy season, LDV could not be reached for comment.
