While the math behind it may not necessarily be useful day-to-day (tho it could be argued it could be), knowing the concepts behind statistics (especially when questioning the validity of a poll, for instance) has been helpful. As for probability, I've always had problems fully grasping that, but it hasn't effected my poker game all that much -- that's just a matter of paying attention to the cards and the other players
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol
