The challenge is, you can only spend so much money on the drivers. If it wasn't challenging, everyone would win, right? :p [/b][/quote]The money's not really the issue. It's knowing the tracks and drivers. For Daytona and Talladega you pick Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Michael Waltrip cause they "own" the tracks. Road courses have only a few drivers who do well at them, so you know who to pick. If those drivers are expensive you just pick cheaper guys just to fill up the roster. And you NEVER pick John Andretti, Steve Park or Kyle Petty cause they never do squat.

Man, I did a lot of "entertaining" in Week 10.

I could just hear a guy on a loudspeaker, "For this week only, watch Douche Bigelow pick not one, not two, but three doubleheaders in which all six, yes you heard that right, all six games ended in negative points for the pitching staff! Remember, it's this week only so come get your tickets now!"

I'd gladly pay for those tickets if it was for PL's team!

I don't get this. Of all players, 16.6% picked Anaheim, 4.5% picked Philly. Huh? Only 21% of players picked a PS today??

Look at how many people joined our league and dropped out. I'd guess people start the season, fall behind, lose interest, and stop playing.

JG - gotta always go with your gut instinct. Now to just tell the difference between a gut instinct and indigestion.

PL - lose interest? You are kidding, right? There is only one other thing I could possibly think of in the morning, during the day AND late at night like this. But baseball doesn't mess up my hair.

Wow, PL and I both with Seattle, but with entirely different offense. That's supposed to be good luck according to PL, right? Ugh! Except for the D-H's, his last week wasn't too good for PS's...

Dag! Why do I get visions of the headline "Nomo No-No" in my head when I don't go w/ LA?? Don't pass me, Buff, just cuz I didn't wanna pay up for LA!

SC plays with Woody, alone, in his bid to arise from the depths.

Hmmm, I am really re-thinking this whole 'Curse of Pork' business. I see that today Pork and I not only share a PS but 3 offensive players as well. Suddenly, I don't feel so good.

Just a little bump in the road, Buff.

The thing is, I might not do so great tonight. I traded a good baseball score to the devil in exchange for a desperately needed Nets win.

This being a Gangster BB League, I thought I'd ask this question:

Why is Moe Greene worse than the Houston Astros pitching staff (last night, anyway)?

.

.

.

Moe Greene got "hit" once.

(sorry, Yankees fans)

Yankees get slammed by a no hitter. Yankees get slammed by a no hitter. That sounded so good I think I'll say it again. Yankees got slammed by a no hitter. Were there ever any sweeter words spoken.

Ok....stepping aside as Geoff pushes the "ban" button on me!!

Man, it would have been nice to have the Astros yesterday... no hitter with 13K's and only 3 walks. At least Soriano got a stolen base.

Yes, every day I get excited at the prospect of not paying 8 million bucks for pitching, but alas...gotta go with my gut sometime. And three days in a row, I have spent EVERY penny.

Pork - how that bunch of scrubs you tossed together last night nabbed you 87 points is beyond me. Ok, you had your good night, you can stop now.

And Bethie - I have never smacked you for any other valid reason on the basis of friendship but I LIKE the Yankees. About the only AL team out there that I can stomach and I respect. I watched that game last night, it was like watching The Bad News Bears in the Outfield. The only thing that could've made it better for me would be to have picked Houston. But who in their right mind woulda done that??

Remember, if you are gonna trash talk, you gotta play. Them's the rules. It's at times painful, but you get used to it after a while.

I don't know, either. I was so unhappy with that lineup until I saw the results It's mostly the same today (damn $8m PS), but I doubt they'll come close to yesterday's numbers...

Oh, I mean to say... Yeah, of course they did well! I spent hours researching every one of those guys and confidently predicted they'd all do well that one night! No luck involved, just total skill!
