Another surprising week in the NFL. My Packers finally found a way to defend the home turf by defeating the 49ers 20-10. They are still one game out of first, but should be able to pull out a victory on Thanksgiving at Ford Field.
Even after week 12, there seems to be no guaranteed winners come game day. A person would have to be a complete idiot to take up gambling in this league; even the experts (Chris Berman/Tom Jackson) can only guess what will happen, as opposed to previous years. There's just something about this season....the upsets...the many overtime games....whatever. This season is flat out weird, but nothing short of exciting.

I look at Williams and sometimes think of Homer Simpson when he daydreams...is anything going on in his head? He always looks confused. Unfortunately, Gilbride has done two things. 1.) Turned Bledsoe into a truley immobile quarterback. I don't care whether your Michael Vick or The fat dude in seat 24a with the beer gut, God gave you two legs to run. Granted, a 6'4'' Bledsoe might not be greased lightning, but there's no reason that he can't do some small rollout plays and gain some yardage with the short pass. But no, Gilbride designs these hairbrained plays where Bledsoe spends all day in the pocket with our sub-par offensive line. And Bledsoe is also partially to blame, he's, for reasons I don't understand, acted like Rob Johnson...he has unilateral vision and refuses to eye more than one receiver... ![](/threads/images/graemlins/classic/lol.gif)

Speaking of F-F-F-Fassel, the NY papers are full of speculation on the next coach. They've already dismissed Fassel as going, going, gone. How's that for morale? But some of the names batted around; Tom Coughlin, Nick Saban (LSU coach), Charlie Weis, New England offensive coordinator, Romeo Crennel, New England defensive coordinator and that two timer Jimmy Johnson (please, not him.)
Are there any other towns/cities filling the papers with coach firings? Oakland? Arizona? San Diego?

Coordinator) and the O-Line coordinator before they fire Gregg Williams, because at least Williams didn't get FIRED by Jeff Fisher/Tennessee Titans for his crappy plays. :p Gilbride is just awful... ![](/threads/images/graemlins/classic/ohwell.gif)

Packers are still alive in the NFC North with today's 34-21 win over the Bears at Lambeau Field. Although Ahman Green has not been as phenomenal as usual (the last 2 weeks), Favre is begining to show signs of improvement.
Next week the Pack plays the Chargers here in San Diego, and I'm going to be there to see Favre play in person for the very first time!! These are very exciting times *catching breath*.
