So midway through the regular season, what do u football fans think so far? Right now I say the best teams are the chiefs, colts, vikings, bucs, and the seahawks. i dont think the cowboys and panthers will continue to play like they have been. I also think the Giants will return to the top of the NFC East soon, but thats just my hope. League mvp so far? got to be Peyton Manning. 6 tds in one game!!!!! Un real. Dont think Dante Hall will win it. Kick returners are a dime a dozen. although, he is the best there is at the position. So what u guys think?

I can only hope that Mike Sherman can find receivers and lineman that will step it up. If they do, we will see the Packers like they once were. If they do not, it may be a long season.

Peyton Manning as MVP? Maybe. I can live with that since he's a former Tennessee Volunteer (although I'm no Colts fan). However, I think "Air" McNair from my Tennessee Titans is going to scoop up that honor. He should've gotten it last year! As far as the Packers go, they used to be my favorite NFC team. However, they've been terribly inconsistent the last couple of years. I don't see much happening there. Somebody's gotta' stop those KC Chiefs, though!!

I hope the Packers can turn it around, but it will come down to this weekend's game at Minnesota. If they can win that, then they will be only two games back in the division. The bye week came at a really good time because they need to look at themselves at the mirror at 3-4. Favre will have the offense ready. The question is will the defense be up to the task, unlike recently?

This week obviously presents a huge challenge for the Packers, but if the Giants can beat the Vikings at home, then so can the pack. I'm not giving up on them just yet. The run defense needs to pull through, and the secondary cannot allow Moss to burn them. This Sunday will probably set the tone as to whether Green Bay can make a playoff run or not.

raggingbull2003-I was merely implying that the Vikings are a mortal team, even at home. The Giants found a chink in the Viking armor, something the Packers should try to exploit come Sunday. The Packers have had much better players in past years, but there is still hope if they play well after the bye week.
And yes, the Giants are a better team than they are made out to be because of last year's disappointing playoff game vs the 49ers. Because you are a huge Giants fan, I realize your anger, and I hope you realize my optimism as a Packers fan. The next couple of weeks should determine the position of both teams.

It's been an up and down season already for the Packers. It's still up in the air about the playoffs cuz they could still challenge in a weak NFC. The Giants proved that a so-so team can go into hostile territory and come out with a W.

Just checked out the Chiefs schedule, and the rest looks pretty damn easy for the most part. This week they have the bye, and the next week play Cleveland. Does anybody here predict that the Browns will pull off an upset win on November 9?
As long as we're at the midpoint of the season, who you guys feel will make it to the Super Bowl? Don't hesitate to state your reasoning for the teams you predict.

About the cheifs; yea, their schedule is damn easy at this point. In fact, they dont have another winning team to face. So given that, Im gonna have to say the Chiefs in the super bowl over the Bucaneers. For the AFC, the road to the super bowl in the post season is going to be very tough. The chiefs will over come the almost equally dangerous colts because of the post season choke artist Peyton Manning (But I do feel that this is the year where he is gonna win at least one playoff game). The chiefs will also have to beat the Seahawks and that will be tough given their personell and their genius coach Mike Holmgren. If they are lucky, they wont even have to see the Broncos in the post season, unless they get a wild card, which will be very hard to do in the afc. Now for the NFC... The Bucs should win the NfC again this year, and they wont have too much competition when they get to the playoffs. Pound for pound, the Bucs defense can shut down Randy Moss and the Vikings. Being a giant fan, it is very hard for me to admit this but look for the cowboys to win the east. If they do, they are no match for the bucs. My overall super bowl winner pick is the Chiefs over the Bucs. Write it down, cause thats whats its gonna be.
