So midway through the regular season, what do u football fans think so far? Right now I say the best teams are the chiefs, colts, vikings, bucs, and the seahawks. i dont think the cowboys and panthers will continue to play like they have been. I also think the Giants will return to the top of the NFC East soon, but thats just my hope. League mvp so far? got to be Peyton Manning. 6 tds in one game!!!!! Un real. Dont think Dante Hall will win it. Kick returners are a dime a dozen. although, he is the best there is at the position. So what u guys think?

The Bengals are coming along good compared to not winning a single game last year I believe.

Its true that they do look better, but they are stil nothing to brag about. This shit with Cory Dillon wanting to be traded has got to be a slap to the face for the fans and the organization. But I cant really blame him though.

Anybody think the Pack can turn it around?

As a die-hard Packer fan, I hope that the team can somehow get it together this bye week to pull off a winning streak that could get them into the playoffs. And they CAN do it. It seems like the pack rely far too much on just Favre and Green to carry the team. If one of them is having an off day, then they lose. I can only hope that Mike Sherman can find receivers and lineman that will step it up. If they do, we will see the Packers like they once were. If they do not, it may be a long season.

I t hink the Favre magic is just about run out. Being in the division with the Vikings isnt gonna help their playoff chances either. anything could happen, but I wouldnt bet on a Packer winning spree.

Peyton Manning as MVP? Maybe. I can live with that since he's a former Tennessee Volunteer (although I'm no Colts fan). However, I think "Air" McNair from my Tennessee Titans is going to scoop up that honor. He should've gotten it last year!
As far as the Packers go, they used to be my favorite NFC team. However, they've been terribly inconsistent the last couple of years. I don't see much happening there. Somebody's gotta' stop those KC Chiefs, though!!

I think two teams will finish at 12-4; 12 teams will finish at 9-7; 14 teams at 8-8 and 4 teams at 4-12. They will have to use the 6th criteria tiebreaker to decide the wildcards. There's no logic in this season. Buffalo blows out New England in week one. Buffalo is 4-4, New England is 6-2. Minnesota is undefeated and lose to the Fumbling Giants AT HOME! Dallas is on top of the NFC East????? Defending Champs the Bucs are 4-3, their aura has been Sapped. KC has scored 246 points, the Cards 98; OK that one makes sense. Has anyone seen the Ray-dahs?

Our fucking coaching sucks, Williams should never have been made into a head coach. We've got one of the best all around sqauds in Bills history and we still continue to show new levels of suckieness even worse than Rob "I can't get my fucking bandana off my head" Johnson era...

I hope the Packers can turn it around, but it will come down to this weekend's game at Minnesota. If they can win that, then they will be only two games back in the division. The bye week came at a really good time because they need to look at themselves at the mirror at 3-4. Favre will have the offense ready. The question is will the defense be up to the task, unlike recently?

Mary Cas- dont act like the Giants arent a talented team. They are a very unlucky team. Against Dolphins, patriots, and the eagles, the giants blem them away statistically. but they alwyas fuck it up in the redzone or fuck up a speciel teams play. But I think the victory against the vikings marks a turn around for them

what's going on Green Bay? they need to work on their defense. the offense is doing fine with green healthy because they don't need to rely on favre as much. -Pat

The Packers are out of it. I dont know what their problem is, but they have lost their edge. I dont even bother watching them anymore.

I couldn't agree with you more. This week obviously presents a huge challenge for the Packers, but if the Giants can beat the Vikings at home, then so can the pack. I'm not giving up on them just yet. The run defense needs to pull through, and the secondary cannot allow Moss to burn them. This Sunday will probably set the tone as to whether Green Bay can make a playoff run or not.

Caporegime- so ur basically saying that the Packers are better then the giants. What could u possibly be thinking. the giants have arguably the most balanced offense in the entire league. the packers got an aging favre and a good running back with some average recievers. And their defense is brutaly horrible. I think that the giants get a bad rap because of the ghastly mistakes they make on special teams and the overly conservative jim fassel. to say that the current packers are better then the giants makes me very angry. but ur entiteled to ur opinion.

raggingbull2003-I was merely implying that the Vikings are a mortal team, even at home. The Giants found a chink in the Viking armor, something the Packers should try to exploit come Sunday. The Packers have had much better players in past years, but there is still hope if they play well after the bye week.

And yes, the Giants are a better team than they are made out to be because of last year's disappointing playoff game vs the 49ers. Because you are a huge Giants fan, I realize your anger, and I hope you realize my optimism as a Packers fan. The next couple of weeks should determine the position of both teams.

It's been an up and down season already for the Packers. It's still up in the air about the playoffs cuz they could still challenge in a weak NFC. The Giants proved that a so-so team can go into hostile territory and come out with a W.

I'm more of a Brett Favre fan than a GB fan but obviously I hope they do well (although it doesn't look too good). Another question, will Jerry Rice and Emmitt Smith be back next year?

I hope Rice comes back. He is still the man, but I think it is time for Emitt to pack it up and leave. He is no longer a good back.

Just checked out the Chiefs schedule, and the rest looks pretty damn easy for the most part. This week they have the bye, and the next week play Cleveland. Does anybody here predict that the Browns will pull off an upset win on November 9?

As long as we're at the midpoint of the season, who you guys feel will make it to the Super Bowl? Don't hesitate to state your reasoning for the teams you predict.

About the cheifs; yea, their schedule is damn easy at this point. In fact, they dont have another winning team to face. So given that, Im gonna have to say the Chiefs in the super bowl over the Bucaneers. For the AFC, the road to the super bowl in the post season is going to be very tough. The chiefs will over come the almost equally dangerous colts because of the post season choke artist Peyton Manning (But I do feel that this is the year where he is gonna win at least one playoff game). The chiefs will also have to beat the Seahawks and that will be tough given their personell and their genius coach Mike Holmgren. If they are lucky, they wont even have to see the Broncos in the post season, unless they get a wild card, which will be very hard to do in the afc. Now for the NFC... The Bucs should win the NfC again this year, and they wont have too much competition when they get to the playoffs. Pound for pound, the Bucs defense can shut down Randy Moss and the Vikings. Being a giant fan, it is very hard for me to admit this but look for the cowboys to win the east. If they do, they are no match for the bucs. My overall super bowl winner pick is the Chiefs over the Bucs. Write it down, cause thats whats its gonna be.

Actually, we still go to Denver and Minnesota the 7th and 20th of December, respectively.

Being a Browns fan I hope so But I seriously doubt it. They might have a chance if Couch is couched HAHA. Hopefully Holcomb will rest up since they have a bye on Sunday.

I like the browns but they got a lot of work to do. Last post season, I was seriousely rooting for them when the steelers came back and won. Same thing happened to the giants the next day with the niners. So I guess browns fans and giants fans can mourn together because of that dreadful weekend.

I believe they won three last year, and yes; with Lewis at the helm, the Bengals are looking considerably better.
