Whine Alert

I forgot to check Q's status for today before going to bed last night. Questionable again.

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

He didn't, unless Arenas or Maggette don't play.

But at least I'm "lucky" in that we both had Baron Davis who didn't play either.

My mistake, Patrick .

When I saw the same five players for the third day in a row, I didn't realize that you changed your coach. I'll throw you back in the standings in the morning.

Kobe and Ron Artest named POTW.

DB & PL each get an extra 15 points for Kobe, to be added in tomorrow.

Alright kids, I'm back! Hey plaw, one request for you... Will you lay off the gas for a little bit there? Ease up on it, you know... Let the blood flow! I'd really appreciate it!

Man, my multitasking skills is being put to the test. I'm in 2 baseball leagues, this basketball league, and whatever March Madness pools I'm in. I need a vacation.

If you mean stop pushing so hard to catch you, well, as much as I'd like to accomodate a request from a true gentleman such as you, I'm afraid that's one favor I cannot grant.

If by "gas" you mean the trash talking, well hell, that's half the fun.

If you're coming around to the FS point of view, that I'm nothing but an old gas bag, well, you may have something there.

I choose option #1... Lay off the gas on trying to catch me! You refused my request?? I didn't think you would grant it. Anyway, it keeps me on my toes.

So, we got a pretty eventful 16 days ahead of us. All I have to say is...

Ex-Lax Clap Clap Ex-Lax Clap Clap

Here's to Ex-Lax Days, where the games are minimal and the movement is non-existent!

After seeing that we had exactly the same team today, I once again mulled over the question of playing defense with the lead, and becoming unpredictable when trailing.

If I recall correctly, this is about the time in the first half, when trailing by roughly the same amount, with roughly the same amount of time to go, you went the unpredictable route, and I chastized you for doing so too early.

Looking at today's choices yesterday, I really didn't see any other viable players to select, and was quite aware that there was an excellent chance that our teams would be quite similar.

But I figure it this way: I believe that I'm a better picker than you. With 16 days to go, I just have to plow ahead, picking the players that I think are the strongest on a given day, and hoping that you make a few mistakes or miss a few things (like Bobby Sura ). Besides, I don't want to run the risk of falling further behind. There is my small lead in the overall points standings to protect as well. I'd rather just sacrifice the day.

You won't see me get unpredictable until I have no choice (maybe )

Better picker than me? You may be right (and here comes the but),... but you don't think I'll slack off these last few days, do you? It's time to play some de-fense, de-fense.

I certainly don't think you'll be slacking off. In fact, I find myself paying a little bit more attention to the game lately, and it wouldn't surprise me if you were doing the same.

Just as it's too early to go unpredictable, I think, it's also too early to play much defense. And there are too many days left with too many choices to be certain that a defensive strategy is the correct one.
