Yes, and there is an irony to all this because the Corleones sort of look down on the pezza novante as big shots they can control. Toward the end of GF I, Vito is telling Michael that he didn't want to have Michael lead the life he did, because he had hoped that he would become "Senator Corleone, Governor Corleone..." and Mike derisively says, "Another pezza novante..." Of course early inhis life that is exactly what Michael wanted to become because he did not want to be "a man like his father."
