Also, the players are a lot more consistent than they are in baseball. They give you the players fantasy points season average every day when you have to make your selection, so this game is really more of a mathematical exercise than anything else. I.E., "What's the maximum number of points I can get a roster to average each day while still staying under the cap?" Stick with that concept, and you won't do too badly. Why, just look at CC and JG. They both claim to know nothing about basketball. Here's the link if you want to join: http://games.espn.go.com/vgm/frontpage

Go DB!!!!!! You can catch him. I'll be your good luck charm from afar although I am not sure I would fit in your pocket anyway! Sorry plaw - can't be your next victim. I promised family that February would be a completely fantasy-free-sports month. Unless you want to help me write out my personal ad: SWF seeks AB (anybody) with extra room, ESPN hookup a must. Cleans your mess and mine, makes pancakes and smells good. Ok hoopshooters - have fun, carry on! :p

Tomorrow night's roster was possibly the toughest for me to pick all season.
Look for everyone to have Garnett and/or Duncan, and then lots of different players.

Very embarrassing for the front runners. I know Kidd is listed as "probable" tonight, but I have my doubts. And if he does play, how effective will he be? DB, "Compare and Contrast" Oh, the good old days and those stupid essay questions back in High School and College. Imagine these kids! They expect us to do their homework for them. Next they'll be asking us to write the damn papers as well. I'd like to compare and contrast all of the crappy websites for NBA injuries.

I just heard on local sports talk radio that Kidd is "expected to play" Tomorrow (I hope) we'll compare and contrast his stats when healthy vs. when playing with a sprained finger.

Jason Kidd Update: I just called my sales rep at the Nets who I deal with for my tickets. I've known the guy for years, and he's occasionally given me some inside info. Anyway, I asked him about Kidd, and he said he would check with someone on the coaching staff and call me back. Ten minutes later he calls, and tells me that Kidd hasn't practiced all week (the Nets last played on Friday) and his finger has been immobilized. He practiced this morning and experienced "some discomfort". He will probably "try" to play tonight, but it will be a "game time decision". Hope this helps

Mr. Jason Kidd New Jersey Nets 390 Murray Hill Pkwy. East Rutherford, NJ
Dear Mr. Kidd, Hello, my name is DB and I just wanted to wish you good luck tonight. I know how painful it could be to play with a sprained finger, and I appreciate all the heart and courage you are showing by playing tonight. If all the other NBA players showed half the fortitude that you will be playing with tonight, this league, nay this world, will be a better place.
I'm not one to write Win-one-for-the-Gipper speeches. Let me just leave you this one thought.
Fight and you may die. Run and you will live, at least awhile. And dying in your bed many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that, for one chance to come back here as young men, and tell our enemies that they make take our lives, but they will never take our freedom?
Please take this to heart as you do battle against those scoundrels, the Washington Wizards.
Sincerely and With Much Appreciation, DB

Mr. Jason Kidd Blah, blah, blah
Yo, Wuss:
Listen up. I could go to work when I was 9 months pregnant, my ankles swollen and I was so huge I couldn't even sit in my chair. I have cramps at least 3 days out of the month. I have mood swings, and my panty hose rise up once in awhile. Do you see me taking any days off from work? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Look, put a splint on it, blow your trophy wife some more kisses, and get your scrawny ass on that court.
If not, who gives a crap. I didn't play you.
Sincerely,
Someone who doesn't care about you!

Dear Jason,
As a dedicated Nets fan who knows that regular season games mean almost nothing, be assured that I have no objections whatsoever to your taking the night off.
The wizards stink, and we should be able to handle them easilly without you. Relax, take it easy, don't risk any serious injury to your finger, and make sure you're 100% for the playoffs.
A Loyal Fan, P. Lawrence
