I have a tendency to constantly look ahead in following sports, so I've been pondering the subject of the expansion draft coming up for the NBA's long-overdue 30th team, the Charlotte Bobcats. This may be a chance for some teams to dangle overpriced veterans out there for someone else to pick up, freeing up valuable salary cap room. My Knicks would be wise to use this route to get under the cap. Allan Houston, Shandon Anderson, and Howard Eisley could be picked up, and the Knicks would be better for it. Also, with realignment next year in place, the divisions are as follows:
Eastern Conference
Atlantic
Boston New Jersey New York Philadelphia Toronto
Southeast
Atlanta Charlotte Miami Orlando Washington
Central
Chicago Cleveland Detroit Indiana Milwaukee
Western Conference
Southwest
Dallas Houston Memphis New Orleans San Antonio
Northwest
Denver Minnesota Portland Seattle Utah
Pacific
Golden State L.A. Clippers L.A. Lakers Phoenix Sacramento
