Second half of the season..PL--you said it didn't matter if I played now, as long as I was ctive in the second half. Do all the numbers restart at zero and is this after All-Star Weekend? -Pat

If it's the same as baseball everyone starts with a clean slate. I think PL can still keep accumulative totals for players year round totals. I'm assuming it starts after the All Star break as in baseball.

What's even more amazing is that Karl Malone is on the Injured List.

I rarely play Karl because he's not reliable in that way. Oops, did I reveal one of my secrets?

Can you believe that this is the first time the Mailman has ever gone on the injured list?

Well, our computer is messed up so I'm gonna have to retire from the game. Everything is getting erased in order to fix it and by that time, I'll be way back in the standings. Who knows, maybe I'll be back for the second half. Adios for now.

That's too bad BGT. Hopefully you'll be able to join back in the fun in the 2nd half.

When I heard about the Marbury trade, I was in the car and pissed because I knew I had him tonight.

I'm relieved to now note that we all have him(except for Patrick).

So BGT bites the dust. Too bad. The fourth of our original nine to go down.

It makes me feel better to know we all have Marbury. Geoff doesn't gain too much ground on me then.

I'm so happy over the Marbury trade. I can finally watch the Knicks again without throwing up.

Note: Elton Brand and Ben Wallace were both Player Of the Week.

Everyone had Brand yesterday (except SP) and got an extra 15 points. I'll add them in tomorrow morning.

Well, I'm back everyone. Man, it was a nightmare getting back to Chicago because of the snow storms. Ugggh.

In any case, as PL could tell, being on vacation didn't keep me from changing my rosters. Too bad you guys made up 40 points in one night on me. Once again, I have to say, Ugggh.

Before, I forget... Whine Alert.

On a brighter note, Happy New Year to you all!

DB's back! I thought you didn't love us anymore and found a new set of misfits. You'd be hard pressed finding another Hermie though. :p

How was Houston? Happy New Year to you my friend.

So that's where you were!

Jeeze, you had me worried. I had visions of you lying inert just a few feet from your keyboard, felled by a mysterious illness, with barely enough strength to change your roster, but not enough to post.

This message, which is incorrect, appears at the bottom on the "Leaderboard" page:

"Note: VGM's first half includes 15 weeks and ends the last gameday before the NBA All-Star break on Thurs., Feb. 6. See the NBA Schedule for more info."

1) Feb 6 is a Friday, not a Thursday
2) All-Star weekend is Feb 13-16
3) The page that shows everyone's weekly totals and standings calls for a 16 week season, not 15.
