Here you go plawrence. For your reading pleasure.

"Welcome to Homeboyz colluseum. Home to your New Jersey Nets".

The New York Post reports Jay-Z has retained investment banking firm Andrew, Alexander, Wise & Co. to explore buying the New Jersey Nets NBA team. The YankeeNets board met on Wednesday to hear more details of the four existing bids for the Nets - Bruce Ratner, who's offering $275 million; Charles Wang, $265 million; Stuart Feldman, $257 million; and the team of New Jersey Sen. Jon Corzine and Charles Kushner, $250 million. Jay-Z's spokesman Ron Berkowitz declined comment.

You want to know one good thing that could come out of this? In a word. Beyonce! :p

Actually, I didn't hear about Jay-Z. I know that P. Diddy is interested in buying the Knicks though. -Pat

Ratner is the guy who wants to move the team to Brooklyn, which would be a disaster for me, since I live five minutes from the arena. As long as the team stays in Jersey, though, I don't care who's involved with the ownership.

Griffin is a great signing. The Nets desperately need another big body, and Griffin can really play, IMO. The Continental Arena was his home court when he played for Seton Hall, so he has a lot of New Jersey fans. I just hope is head is screwed on correctly.

Yeah, DB, the original deal was Griffin, the Nets first round pick (#7 overall) for Houston's three late first round picks, which became Jefferson, Collins, and Armstrong. Armstrong can't really play, but I think the team would be too embarrassed to just cut him, so he's spent three years on the "on-the-injured-list-off-the-injured-list-merry-go-round".

Sure, Dad will stop on over and pick you up! He may just introduce you to some of the big names that he knows.

I don't think you are old enough for a beer, but he will get you a snack later.

Ok plaw, if you're going to the game, meet me at the entrance to Section 101 at halftime. Not right before, not right after, not during, but within the first five minutes after the buzzer sounds. Ok? I'm leaving right now. If you want to look for me during the game, I'll be sitting diagonally next to the Nets bench, on the floor, with a gray Nets t-shirt on. Ok? That also goes for anyone watching the game at home- look for that.

Actually, scratch the gray Nets shirt, I just remembered it's in the wash... I'll be wearing a gray Mets shirt.

Sorry I couldn't search for you in the crowds Val. All they had on tv here was college football, college basketball and hockey. Not a good sports night in my house.

OK...I was there, and I did all of the things you listed above.

I was at the entrance to Section 101 at halftime. Not right before, not right after, not during, but within the first five minutes after the buzzer sounded.

And since there are two entrances to section 101, I guarded one, and my companion, armed with the same description of your Mets shirt that I had, guarded the other.

And no sign of you. Boy, FS is gonna be disappointed.

I'm really sorry plaw... I was held up for a few minutes at the start of halftime and so I probably JUST missed you. I was frantically walking back and forth between the doorways the rest of halftime. Oh well. Maybe another chance some other time.

I was at the game with an individual of absolutely unimpeachable character and honesty, who will testify, if necessary, that not only were we at the appointed place for at least 7-8 minutes after halftime began, but after returning from smoking a cigarette outside, we returned and hung out there for at least another 3-4 minutes.

Is there much snow upstate, FS? Can you send me a spare shovel?

I am sure that you were there Pee. I think next time you should pick up the kid. Just another case of a newbie puppy who wants to belong!

By the way it was 65 today and most of our snow is gone except the major piles which will be here for a while yet. As you can tell we know how to use our snow blowers for more then just snow!

Yup, Val - you screwed up. Cuz I was lookin' for you, too. And not on TV. :p

And besides all that - holy mygod! Probably the worst score of my life tonight?? -2 for McGrady??? Counting Zach's points during the game was promising enough for him -- but all the rest of my roster had to suck ass, too????

Ugh.
