Sounds like a set-up for an FS or Bethie joke, if I ever read one!

Jeez.....

A convention of the dirty minds. Didn't FS once say that I was "arrogant and hard"?

I'm just trying to soften up a little for him for the holidays, that's all

You guys are always looking for double meanings and everything. Don't think I forgot about the 500 or so "Woody" posts from the baseball thread. Sheesh.

I have adjusted the above post to make a PL feel better.
It's still a sentence fragment. Try a comma after "here". :p

Or you can keep the period and get rid of "As". PL's suggestion is better though.

Actually, DB, I like your construction better.

With the comma that I suggested, the sentence implies that the clause "as the winter weather is hitting us hard here" has something to do with that which the author wishes to share, which is not the case.

Actually, now that I consider it further, I would have written it thusly:

As the winter weather is hitting us hard here, and we are all having fun with the twenty inches of snow that God gifted (?) us since yesterday, I just wanted to share this with all of you:

Hey Pat, the team list says your last name is Iverson. Are you related to AI?

Unbelievable....

Pierce got POTW in the East, and Stojakovic got it in the West.

Apparently the fact that the Kings were 3-0 for the week and the Suns were 0-5 had something to do with it

Hell, POTW should be about individual achievement, not wins and losses. Last time I try to out-figure that.

Oh, yeah. As DB would say.....

Perfect opportunity to talk about the MVP debate... What do you all think: Should MVP of any league be (i) the best player on the best team, (ii) the most dominant statistically, (iii) the player most crucial to a particular team, etc... What is your definition?

You guys here about the Cavs/Celtics deal?

What the Celtics Get:
Ricky Davis
Chris Mihm
Michael Stewart
Second Round Draft Pick

What the Cavs Get:
Eric Williams
Tony Battie
Kedrick Brown

The Celtics needed a resident statmonger since they got rid of Walker. Davis is a talented player. He belongs on the Jailblazers though.

The Celtics definetly need a second scorer, although I think Davis and Pierce won't get along. They're both very selfish and could hurt their chances of going far in the East. So Pat are you related to the "Answer" or do you just have the same last name? I'm just wondering.

Sounds like the Celts got the best of that one. I'm surprised the Cavs gave up on Mihm.

I have figured it out, I really have.
Pee-Lawrence is on some new medication!

Oops, hold those thoughts. Maybe he has been watching those holiday movies that share the "nice" message. Scrooge or It's a wonderful life.

Forget it Pee. Santa watches all year long. Not just two weeks before Christmas!

What it's saying to me is that I couldn't find my niche for the first 300 or so posts, but then I found my comfort level with you guys for the next thousand or so. Now that's saying something!

Now you've found your niche with us. Maybe the 6 of us "regulars" should call ourselves "The Dirty half dozen".

I remember when you joined the baseball league I said to myself "Who the hell is this guy? Member #39, and only 300 posts?" My guess is that while you may not have as many posts in the fantasy threads as some, a higher percentage of your total number of posts can be found there than anyone elses percentage.

Maybe we should count everyone up and print the stats. Whadda 'ya think, Beth?

Anyway, I'm sure glad you found your "niche", so to speak.

Members 39 and 40. What are the chances of two people who came here so long ago posting in the same thread day in and day out. What are we 2,800 plus members now? You two have a bond. It is just like getting on that school bus on the very first day together. It kind of brings a tear to your eye, doesn't it!
