Uggghhh.

I think all the turkey made me too sleepy to make correct picks this week. Hopefully, this week is an aberration.

It wasn't the picks, it was their performance. Iverson had 45 yesterday. Carter had 40 on Wednesday. Unfortunately, you had them on the wrong day. Just kep taking them, and don't worry.

Billups-Iverson, Carter-Davis, who could fault those picks?

Keep doing whatever it is you've been doing. Don't change a thing. You'll be just fine.

No man I'm still here...

I've been traveling this weekend that's why I couldn't pick a roster.
I guess it didn't make a big difference

75 freakin points. Uggh! I've got a major headache. Jason Kidd can kiss my ass.

I hate this game. I might not play next year.

This game really does suck... Tim Duncan suspended for bumping an official... There goes another 0 for me (although most of us had TD).

Suspend THIS!

When I heard about Duncan this morning I panicked cause I couldn't remember if I had him or not. Then I breathed a sigh of relief when I realized I didn't, only to come here and see my dismal score.

I thought it might be interesting to see how good people were at choosing winners. Unfortunately, the website won't allow us to see other people's stat summary and it's too much work right now to calculate everyone's won/loss coaching record, so i'll just post mine and it would be interesting if you guys do the same. Just go to "Stat Summary" and click on the "Coach" link.

I'm 24 - 11, 68.6%. I bet that's somewhere in the middle with this group.

Now that the tryptophan effect of the turkey has worn off, I should get back to my usual place sometime soon! :p

Nice to see you back and participating in the chat, DB. Things weren't the same without you.

Crabcakes, when you click on stat summary and then coach, the first column is "GP" (Games Played). The second column is your number of wins.

We've all played 35 games, so if you have 22 wins your record is 22-13.

Mine is 27-8 (.771)

I'm glad that you're glad commish! Thanksgiving holiday wasn't fun for me fantasy basketball wise. Time to get back to normalcy.

27-8, huh... well, that explains 15 points of your lead...

Pork, that 35 is for total games. Your actual won - loss record is 21 - 14. It confused me at first, too.

DB why do you get us to do brain teasers like this? Who's gonna tally all these wins, and what does the end result mean. Does someone get a poster or something?

All I know is I got one more win the Pork.

Sure you can. There's still a long way to go, and then there's the second half (Does this sound familiar?)

I had you pegged for second place, remember? Don't let me down.

Actually, there was a game when the coach "didn't play". It was Greg Popovich, suspended for one game. I had him that night, the Spurs won, and I got credit for the points.

It's to keep all of you on your toes. Actually, I wanted to see if there was a correlation between the skill to pick winners and placement in standings. O.K., this may only interest plaw and me...

I want someone to debunk the theory... Anyone got more than Plaw's 27... BGT???

Yeah, I noticed that right away. Being the commissioner and all, I gotta stay on top of those things.

That really sucks. I had loads of fun doing those pitching staff summaries, and pitching-offense percentage breakdowns, etc. during the baseball season.

I was looking forward to figuring out stuff like that here.

Your commissioner. Trying to work harder to serve you better.

Actually, I do have a theory about coach selection that relates here. But I'm not gonna share it, 'cause it involves strategy.

I'm 34-17 picking coaches, but 1-4 picking Terry Porter as coach of the Bucks. Call me a homer.

Did you have a day when you didn't pick a roster?

The "34" is in the column labeled "GP" (Games Played). The "17" is your number of wins.

Didn't you bother to .....ah, never mind

Skill to pick winners? Umm..let's see. I do my roster and the coach that has the most wins and I have enough money for I pick. Is that skill? :p
