Just took over the Barzini compound a couple hours ago and became the new Don Corleone. I just bought the remaining safehouses I hadn't yet purchased, and I completed all the Mobster Executions. Now I'm Don of NYC.

BTW, DMC. You don't get any money for actually taking over the compounds, but the compounds add a decent amount of money to your weekly income.
