Strong 3rd party support had a lot to do with PS2's dominance, that and brand name. I mean they already had like 70million PSs out there it was an established brand name, Xbox was the new kid on the block- an untested name as far as console gaming goes.
The Dreamcast well I don't know what the hell happened, I mean it has some to the best games on it but it still failed, I'll tell you one thing I still have my Dreamcast and I only have like 5 games for it, but I'm blowing up my PS2.
