I agree. It's also my favorite in the series, eventhough it was the first. I was slightly disappointed with Sons of Liberty, although it was still an excellent game. Snake Eater is just out of this world though. It's really in a class by itself.

If you enjoy Hideo Kojima's work in the MGS games, you should really check out the Zone of the Enders games. I never played the first one, but I bought Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner the day it was released, and it's incredible. The only flaws I can think of is the voice acting (translating Japanese to English is always a bit touchy), and the game is WAYYYYY too short. You can beat it in one sitting. My shortest play through was 3 1/2 hours. You should check it out, its based on a Japanese anime by the same name, and the graphics are incredibie, and the gameplay is just as good.
