On your map go to the bottom left corner. Movie the cursor around that area and mount chilliad should appear at the bottom. That mountain makes the game worth it itself. As for the pilot liscence, I'll just say that fairly soon you will be out in the desert learing to fly. Yes it is part pf the key missions and you can't get it any sooner. OR if you want it quicker got to the first city and jump over the airport wall with a truck.
