people say they don't want buy the new gta game becuse they play as black guy, I mean nobody said anything when you had to play a white guy, so why do ya'll want complain now?

This should probably be just added to this thread , but I'll give you my opinion anyway.

When people say that they dislike this game because the main character has black skin, they're implying that they don't like the stereotypical aspects that come with it. They might assume that because the main character is black, the game will take more of a 'ghetto culture' direction and focus on the hard knock life, rather than the conquest of a city. That's just the way the world is. I don't disagree that Rockstar Games has even been advertising the cultural aspect of the game a bit too much and some people may be annoyed. This is why many people don't like the direction in which the game is headed, but I doubt that there is any serious racism involved at all.

I'm not racist. I'd just rather play a mafioso in emulation of Nicky Santoro ala Casino than a "gangbangin' homie" as I referred to the San Andreas main character in the other thread.

I agree with you Vercetti and Double J. I would most definetly prefer to play as a character who speaks English rather than ghetto ebonics. But he could be a freakin jibberish speaking invalid for all I care. Nothing is going to stop me from wanting to play this game.

I like the character being black. To me, having another Tommy Vercetti would've been disappointing. This makes San Andreas different.

I dunno about that. Tommy Vercetti seems to fit in very well with the Las Vegas part of the game.. but CJ fits much better with the barbershop and tatoo parts. It would balance out a lot more evenly if they just let you customize your looks at the beginning of every GTA game..

I think that would be so sweet if they had a customizable character, only with height limits and stuff so it does'nt mess up the movie sequences.

I agree. I don't think that Rockstar Games is anywhere near done with their franchines of GTA games, so I'm sure this is just one of the models of games that they're trying out.

I'd like to see the mute character of GTA3 show up again. He was my absolute favorite.

Something I can agree with again. He was way cooler and tougher looking than these new two, and the whole italian foot soldier thing made me wet in the pants when I first played it.

But isn't there a cheat on the game that makes you change charecter during the game play. there was for the last two games

I think it'll be pretty sweet to play as a black dude. It'll be something new - I don't think I ever played a video game where I was black before, but I don't really play a lot of video games...

The actual soundtrack for the game is only being released on November 23rd, but they released a Flash Soundtrack Player on the official website with some interesting stuff.

What does it do? I've pressed all of the buttons, and sometimes they "fill" with a light green color thing, but all I get is descriptions of the stations.

Hows this for dorky? I had it pre ordered from my local video game store 7 months ago.

Yeah it's actually really weird. It took me a few minutes to figure out.

You basically need to click on one of the green buttons. THEN, wait for it to fill up. When it's done filling up, it will begin to play something from that station. Make sure that you only click on one thing at a time.. and wait for it to completely fill up.
