MICHAEL : Just lie here, Pop. I'll take care of you now. I'm with you now. I'm with you... That scene told me that no matter how at odds AJ has been with Carmela and Tony, he's really his father's son.
Life is a circle repent. Tony's mom drove his father nuts, and Tony grew up resenting her and becoming like his father. Carmela has driven Tony nuts over the last few seasons, and we see how much AJ resents her and in her own way how she is always all over AJ, driving him nuts too.
AJ is destined to grow up like Tony.
