I love the Godfather films for pretty much the same reasons as everyone else has stated. I think another reason why these films are so loved is because they're the kind of movies that after watching, it might take awhile to stop thinking about them. It's hard not to watch them without imagining different scenarios, different ways the story could have gone...what if's. I know that I am truly touched by something...whether it be a movie, a book, a song, etc...when I can't stop thinking about it once it's over. The films also stand the test of time pretty well. They'll never become dated.
