How dare you compare Alley Mcbeal, The Practice, snd Law & Order without coming to the result that those shows suck and Sopranos i not like them in the least. No im kidding, Ally McBeal is good.

Originally posted by Valentina Mafia Princess: I have the impression the show is using a format of Tv Drama most notably used in 'Alley Mcbeal, The Practice, Law & Order". Whereby the hour long storyline is in itself the complete story with no part 2. While The Sopranos cannot be equalled by any other show IMO, I think you may have a point. Each episode now is simply a story in its own. Things are left at loose ends now and we come back to it when we have forgotten all about it and simply don't care anymore. Season 4 has been very guilty of this in particular. Season one had none of this. For example, the first four shows of the first season had an ongoing storyline, and then, after a brief break for the fantastic "College" episode, it was back on track. This is why Season one is, overall, my favourite series, and why season four is, while still being amazingly fantastic, simply not on a par with its three predecessors. Mick

You see, actually, I don't mind about these cases, as they tend to get wrapped up in the episode and it is inevitable what was going to happen--another such case was with Artie and the money-borrowing Frog-eater! It's the other things which baffle me, such as the Russian in Pine Barrens, Raymond Curto and many more. Mick
