After just finishing Season 3, which by the way, wasn't as bad as expected, I'm yearning for Season 4's release date.. Anybody know when?

Expect for it to take as long as it did for season 3 to come out. Marketing ploys are not a consumers advantage.

I expect season 4 to hit the shelves shortly before they air season 5 on HBO. They will probably make some deals where you buy season 4 and any of the other 3 seasons and you get some kind of discount. This will make people buy more box sets and suck people in so that they'll order HBO in time for the season.

Well from one website I was just on season 5 is slated for fall of 2003. So my guess would be around then, if the info about when season 5 starts is accurate.

So, I'm guessin' season 5 won't be aired on HBO 'til early 2004? That was the last thing I'd heard. Anybody hear of that changing?

Snake like I posted in my post above, I keep hearing it's due in fall of 2003. I haven't heard a thing about it not coming out until 2004.

I just don't think it would be in their best interests to have fans wait for so long again.

But then that's just my 2 cents.

I don't think season 5 will be aired in fall of 2003. Right now they're rerunning all of the 52 episodes, and that should take around a year. Because the reruns started in february, my guess would be that season 5 will be aired sometime early next year, maybe february or march 2004. I don't think it's a bad idea if we can wait that long. I just hope that we won't be too disappointed with season 5 like we were with season 4. The only thing i'm worried about is whether season 5 will be the last one or will they have plans for season 6.

My bad, Iceman! Shows how observant I am, huh?

Anyway, I heartily agree with you on the wait. They're liable to lose some of their fan base...except perhaps some of the died-in-the-wool fans like myself. I'd heard it wouldn't be 'til 2004 'cause Gandolfini was going to do some comedy or something and couldn't work his schedule around. I suppose we'll see.
