The more I think about it, the more I think that Chris won't get whacked. The scene at the end of the episode when Chris went to his mom's house really started to remind me of the relationship between Tony and Livia. Both were widows, and both seem to have some kind of imbalance. Livia was depressed, and Chris' mom is apparently a recovering alcoholic. And during the therapy session with Melfi, Tony practically talks about Chris as a son to him. I think that Chris is a replacement for A.J. He doesn't want his real son to get mixed up in the business, but he seems to really want to be a mentor to someone close to him. That's where Chris comes in. When Chris would screw up, you can kinda see the disappointment in Tony's face as if he was disappointed at A.J. for doing something stupid.
