The most powerful scene of the entire trilogy is, in my opinion, when Michael Corleone screams at the end of GF III with the flashbacks and such, and then the climax with his death..
I totally agree. It was the culmination of every emotion that Michael had experienced throughout the trilogy and like his life was flashing before his eyes in that scene.
If GF3 was made for one reason, it was for that scene.
And the flashbacks!!! That's what made me so emotional after finishing the trilogy.
