Can anyone tell me if there's any mob acitvity present or past in Bridgeport, Connecticut? I would appreciate of knowing any history at all. Also, if theres any connection with highland park, illinois and the mob would be appreciated too?

I read somewhere that Anthony Megale, acting-Underboss of the Gambino Family will plea guilty to the racketeering conspiracy charge he will face on Tuesday. He will face up to 6 1/2 years in prison if he pleas guilty. Anthony Megale is reputed to have committed several racketeering conspiracy crimes in Fairfield County, Connecticut.

the feds just rolled up a faction of the Gambino-family there under the leadership of 'The genius' Megale. Who was heard on wiretapes saying he was the acting underboss of the family.
Now it seems some of the Lucchese-family moved in to take over the gambling racktets the Gamnino's had there.
And the state also has his own family (i forgot the name) but i dont know how powerful they are.
I dont think they are that strong they might be weakened as much as the Decavalcante-family from Jersey which almost evaporated.
