Stavka, I'm going to guess that you're referring to Joe (the Boss) Masseria, even though I can't seem to make a connection betwen the name of the restaurant (Scarpato's) and "Tammoro's New Place." The identity of the three assassins jumps around, but I think there's a consensus on Benny Siegel, Joe Adonis and Albert Anastasia. I've also read accounts that put Vito Genovese and/or Abraham (Bo) Weinberg in place of Adonis and/or Anastasia.
I won't post another Q until I hear from you.

TB, I think the full name of the restaurant was Scarpato's Nuova Villa Tammaro. (2715 West 25th Street, Coney Island - just 4 short blocks from your favorite hotel, The Half Moon).

the Coney Island eatery was “Nuovo Villa Tammaro”, not Scarpato’s, but I wasn’t there, I didn’t see anything…. Gerardo Scarpato was the owner, who may have well seen it all; he was murdered the fall of that same year.

The NYPD released a recent report indicating Sam Pollocia, and Johnny “Silk Stocking” Giustra (both Frankie Yale associates) were the trigger men. Pollocia disappeared almost immediately, and Giustra was murdered later that summer.

My guess would be the only mob guys willing to take the credit for that murder were ones who didn't do it, and thus could never be prosecuted. (but still earn points for the final new arrangement)

It wouldn’t have been the first significant murder by this hit team, they were strong suspects in what out of town job as well?

Its also the area in which Al Capone got his scar (in a bar owned by Frankie Yale). Don Cardi, plawrence, Sr. Vitelli and I attended a ballgame there last month.... its a little different now.

Only places I hung out at in Coney Island were the Villa Nathan's and Casa Shatzkin. My question:
Q. Who inherited Masseria's family?

The DeCavalcante Family.

Which Chicago Outfit mobster and principal assassin in the St. Valentine's Day Massacre, originally known as Vincenzo Gibaldi, changed his name shortly after entering the United States?

With one of the stranger name adoptions, that would be "Machinegun" Jack McGurn

Who are the current holders of the the title, "The Detroit Family"?

The most obvious answer is Homer Simpson, but I supposed Arthur Flegenheimer, aka Dutch Shultz would qualify a close second….

Q:Everybody knows Fat Tony, but who are the other members of the Legitimate Businessman's Social Club?

Q: He may have been the highest placed informer in the classic Chicago outfit, pretty low for a fish, and one that probably shouldn’t play with matches?

...but T - you never answered my second legit question?

so I let that stand, but I'd say Jake Guzick would be the best guess for your question.

Mike "the pike" Heitler - was a pretty consistent police informer, for professional gain, even when he was absorbed by The Outfit.

That didn't work out too well for him
