I'll add my vote for "White Heat."
"Miller's Crossing" is ok as far as it goes. It has a quirky Coen Brothers quality (but not as quirky as "Fargo," their best IMO). What I like most about "Miller's Crossing" is Jon Polito, in the one film role that made maximum use of his substantial talents. John Turturro also is good. And check out Albert Finney's 10,000-shot Tommygun--must have been designed by John Wu.
