Irish, why do you rate Raging Bull a mob movie? Also to others Mean Streets isn't that much of a mob movie either.

The Godfather movies [although I believe they are more of a family drama then a mob/mafia movie]
Goodfellas
Donnie Brasco
Casino
Analyze This/That
The Untouchables
A Bronx Tale
Sopranos 1/2/3
Gotti
The Last Don
Carlito's Way
City of God
For me if the mafia is in it all it's a mafia movie, and I is Carlito's way a mob movie? I thought it was like about spanish guys or something
The Mafia is in plenty of movies, that doesn't make it one. Raging Bull for example is not a mob movie. It's a movie about the life of Jake LaMotta and his fall into becoming a loser, becoming paranoid and losing his loved ones. Just because Pesci's character has a connection to a mobster [Salvy] does not make it one. Hell, in that case I guess "Some Like it Hot" can be considered a mob movie.
