I wouldn't go as far as calling From Dusk Til Dawn a Tarantino flick b/c sure he wrote it, but he didn't direct it. As they advertise for Kill Bill, it (KB) is his fourth film, with Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and Jackie Brown being his first 3. Forgive my ignorance but I gotta ask. Is Tarantino an Italian name?

Saw Kill Bill Vol. 1, and it fits in between Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs. Amazing film (as they all are)

Yeah, Tarantino is an Italian name, I think it comes from the word for spider. And I have to agree with whoever it was ( I think Goodfella? ) who said that Tarantino's films are beautiful... What about that scene in Kill Bill Vol. 1 where Uma and Lucy Liu are finally fighting in the snow, and you watch almost the whole fight from right behind that water pipe thing? That's absolutely gorgeous. And almost the whole movie has that kind of aesthetic value.

I dislike all of Tarantino's films. In fact, I pretty much hate them.

All of them are too eccentric to be funny, yet too unserious to be taken... serious.

I find the plots in all, especially Kill Bill, to be extremely terrible. The acting, not quite mediocre.

Tarantino's action is far worse than Coppola or Scorsese's action, even if Coppola or Scorsese were directing blind folded with the flu and a 1920's technology camera.

I hope he never makes another film, because that would take up a whole trailer slot before a Scorsese movie.

Has anyone seen either Pulp Fiction or Jackie Brown with the "travia" on? If so, is it any good?

I used to be one of QT's harshest critics. I've posted some thoughts round here before.

Kill Bill is awesome. The man's a genius and forever I am now a huge fan.

1. Pulp Fiction
2. Reservoir Dogs
3. Kill Bill (vol 1 &2)
4. Jackie Brown

I also loved all the movies he's written, natural born killers, true romance, from dusk till dawn, and so forth.

he's by far one of the top writers on my list.
