Anyone else old enough to remember when the "Untouchables" was first shown on TV, with Robert Stack as Elliot Ness, Neville Brand as "Big Al, and Bruce Gordon as Frank Nitti? When it first came out it was a blockbuster TV show. I believe it was the first time that a gangster show or movie was made using real characters from history. Ironically it was produced by Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz using their Desilu studios. Also using Walter Winchell as the narra tor, added to its realism.
