Is a copy of this movie available in any format? VHS, DVD, VCD, even BETA. I will take it from anywhere, online or offline. And can anyone tell me if this movie is any good if they have seen it?

sorry Don Milano i can't help you with the format bit.i really want to see it too. i haven't even seen Pacino's Scarface, but in my Halliwell's Film Guide i have the 1932 gets 4 stars (and to get that in this review book the film's got to be fantastic!) and Pacino's gets no stars!

It's available from Amazon.com for $20 in VHS. Very fine film. One of Paul Muni's ripest performances. Nasty incest-suggestion scene! And check out Boris Karloff as a rival gangster!

Howard Hawks was one of America's greatest directors, and Scarface was one of his greatest achivements. Paul Muni and George Raft give great performances, but the real star of the film is it's director. His movement of the camera during the shootouts is masterlyand the film's scope never makes it overblown.

Some of Hawks' ather films are,

Red River(an absolute must-see)
Bringing Up Baby
His Girl Friday
El Dorado

And don't forget the original "The Thing." Supposedly directed by Christian Nyby, but really by Hawks.
