I understand you point, but I did enjoy casino, The gambling world comes close to home for me....Joe P. is an excellent mob guy! I love to watch him in that film. Sharon stone was good but not great.

I just (as in finished 5 minutes ago) watched Casino and can say that GoodFellas was a hell of a lot better. On a side note, I watched 'A Bronx Tale' for the first time today also and I gotta say that tthat movie is a contender for favortite movie after the godfathers with GoodFellas.

Have you ever seen Once Upon A Time In America [Long Version]? It's up there with Goodfellas for me.

In my think that those two movies ain't comparable with each other. It are two totally different movies.

In my place we have a proverb that goes:
"Paragonando le mele alle pere", that means
"Comparing apples with pears", i think its on his place in this topic.

Goodfellas is about the streetthing, Casino is about an other enviroment. So both movies are about the Mob, but Casino is more about the "Laundry Money" while Goodfellas is more about violence at the "street".

personal opinion: Casino - great
Goodfellas - just slightly better.
But of course both are better than Mickey Blue Eyes or something like that...

I will watch them both this winter when the snow flies this winter
