Well again, I'm only going by the brief tidbit I heard on tv, but he told the judge something like, he "now" believes he can get a fair trial (whatever that means ). If this is the case, it makes me wonder if he even talked to a lawyer before asking for an appeal. I would think he would, and then the lawyer would take it to the judge no? But then the lawyer, one would think, would surely advise him of legitimate reasons for appeal.
