Thank you, my friends, for taking a minute to write a birthday message. It takes the sting out, somewhat, of hitting the senior age of 55.

Some 33 years ago we had a surprise birthday party for my dad when he hit 55. I remember it like it was yesterday, but I mainly remember thinking my dad was old then. Funny, but I don't FEEL old now (except when I try playing "The Godfather" on PS2 and I don't know what the hell I'm doing), but knowing I'm eligible for senior housing is an odd thought.

I'm not ready to shit my pajamas and then die (as Tony would put it) but just to be safe I'm gonna stop wearing pajamas.
