Sorry, I didn't notice this earlier.
The point of a 'debate' is not necessarily to change people's minds to agree with yours. It is more to present your POV against those who disagree, and explain why your POV is what it is. Why you feel the way you do on a particular issue. In most cases they're conducted with the understanding that no one is going to change anyone's mind. If that happens, it's icing on the cake!! Debates are interesting, and in many cases...fun (as this one was until it got ridiculous).
A look back into this thread will hopefuly show I did not for one moment fool myself into thinking I'd get you or plawrence or anyone else who's on the opposite side to 'think the same way I do' on Roe v. Wade and abortion. If you really did enter this discussion believing you might get some to 'think the way you do', then you truly have been playing a game.
