Why do "most" people need religion to teach them a base core of beliefs?
I have them, I fairly certain my child has them, my parents had them, and not because of nay exposeure to religion.
In fact, I know dozens of people just in my circle of acquaintances alone that have them without hardly ever practicing any religion at all, or none at all.
"Do unto others..." is a real good start, and I'm certain that people figured that one out a long time ago, notwithstanding the fact that it comes from the bible.
And even if it does, so what?
That's an arugment for the necessity of religion?
Is a belieft in God a necessary part of that "core of beliefs", and if so, why?
