BTW, I thought it was a lot of fun getting together again! It was great meeting Vitelli & his better half for the first time -- and I can't wait to get him and Turnbull together since they're both so quick-witted!

And yes, after the group pic above was taken, I totally kicked Mikey Montana's ass -- worse than what Sonny did to Carlo -- for never posting on the BB!! He should be out of the hospital soon.

I had a really great time last night. I was telling Mikey and DS today that everytime we get together the night just seems to fly by.

Maybe next time I'll sit next to Geoff, this way the night will feel like it's dragging. :p

Actually Plaw had other plans already made, but did not realize it until a day or two before Wednesday.

I think that I speak for everyone when I say that he was definitely missed last night.

Several of the crew were missing last night, SB and Mr. B, Turnbull, and Apple.

Everyone was missed last night. We'll just have to make up for it in August!

We both want to say grazie to everybody for the wonderful time we had - great food, great company. It was truly a pleasure meeting everyone. What more could we ask for?

Actually, that was my Marty Scorsese impression.

I think one of the funniest moments for me was when, after Signor Vitelli broke out the moustaches, he put one on, and truthfully, it looked totally natural. But then Signora Vitelli put hers on (before any of the rest of us had), and a few seconds later, one of the bus boys came over to clear some plates and took a look at her and just turned around and walked away like "W T F is going on here"

Those moustaches were pretty realistic looking!

You do come up with a good one every now and then, DC.



There was a time once when I started a revolution in the post office among about 15 customers who were being waited on by one clerk, whle three otheres were standing around behind the counter having a bullshit session, but that's another story....

Anyway, my son was off from school last week, and due to the early onset of senioritis I had forgotten that we had tickets for the Nets game that night.

Then, when the game ended and I called these wusses to see if they wanted to wait for me and meet somewhere for another dessert or an after dinner drink, they all claimed that they were "too tired." :rolleyes:

A few random thoughts from last night's dinner:

1. I'll never tire of watching DMC and Flame Angel together. They are so much in love.

2. Don Smitty's goatee has really come in and he's the spitting image of Brian Dennehy. I hadda look twice to see who was talking when he said something about Bush being wrong (with the Arab/ports issue). :p

3. It was a real treat meeting Signor Vitelli and his bride!

4. I can't wait to see the picture of Lori and Mikey Montana together. Between the two of them they have about 5 years on the boards and 11 posts between them.... yet they're always the life of the party.

5. Since we were on Don Cardi's home turf he had to be on his best behavior (i.e. he couldn't beat up on any restaurant manager). That almost killed him. :p

6. Geoff has to be the most laid back guy I've ever met. You can't do ANYTHING to him to get a rise out of him once he starts drinking (he's a happy drunk).

GREAT PHOTO!! Gosh, I miss you guys!! But it was sooooo good to talk to you all, although when I was on the phone with Geoff, I was rather jealous because you guys sounded like you were having so much fun, and I was chasing my dog around the backyard!! And after seeing this photo, I realize that I didn't get to say hi to Flame. So, Flame, HI!! Looks like you're holding your own with these Moustache Petes!!

Glad you guys had a great time, and sorry I couldn't be there. Love and kisses to all!!

What a great time! The picture is great. Cant wait for the next one. JGeoff I think should grow a mustache! It is a good look for him I think.

My, that Cardi looks one mean motherfucker! Looks as if he's holding a(n unseen) gun to DMC's head. "Hey, even if I've got an upside-down moustache, I'm still gonna blow this guy's brains out."

And I can't, for the life of me, figure out of Signor Vitelli's moustache is real or not. How about SC's, too? Is that real?

Actually, the only real moustaches visible among the Moustache Petes belong to Don Smitty and Mikey Montana. SC's genuine 'stache was cleverly concealed by a New & Improved Model 2006 Consigliere Special. :p

JG's brows, though, are real.
