Memphis, Tennessee, about an hour ago (yeah, that's my ugly mug)... and it's still coming down in golf ball-sized flakes! Awesome!

Verrry funny! :p I don't usually sport a gunslinger hat, but man, that snow is wet! We haven't seen a snow like this one in a while. I can only imagine what my poor Yankee comrades are experiencing.

Well, in keeping with the big pix, here's three of the local forecasters with their accumulation predictions:

SC, in everyone of those maps, I'm in the up to 12" area. This stinks. Mr. Babe is home recovering from the removal of kidney stones (one word - OUCH), so we're housebound anyway. Well, at least it's a weekend. Did the food shopping, the kids have all their stuff in the morning before it's supposed to start, and I bought a chicken to roast. I think I'll bake some cookies, too. There's something about being snowed in that makes me want to turn the oven on for extended periods of time.

I watched the 10PM news last night on WB and UPN. Storm field was predicting about 5 inches for NYC and Eastern L.I. getting buried. "Mr. G" was predicting NYC gets buried with 12+. This morning, Weather Channel has updated their forecast to about 6-12" for most of the area, though their "Local Foercast" says 3-5". Who knows????

Yeah, sorry about that. I'm just now figuring out how to use the stupid camera, trim down images, etc. I just thought because I'm such a handsome man, J Geoff, that folks might want to use a really big photo of me for their wallpaper! It finally quit snowing here. All good things must come to an end, I suppose.

My daughter and I are enjoying a 'stay-home-day' (her term) and waiting for the snow. It's still several hours away from our neck of the woods, but the anticipation alone (and the fact that we don't have to go anywhere) is keeping us happy!

Yea it's been around 80-85 here all week. They say about 20 degrees above normal for this time of year. Now, I know why I moved to CA. Don't know if I can handle the 20 degree drop next week. :p

It is snowing here in east tennessee right now. Big, fat, wet flakes. :p It's not sticking though. I almost forgot what snow looked like, we hardly ever get it here.

It's only coming down as rain here now. Hopefully it stays this way.

EDIT! It's now changed to snow/rain mix. The temp is still above 32 degrees, so it's not laying. Later tonight and tomorrow morning it's scheduled to start really coming down. Up to 15 inches is predicted. I do not feel like shoveling this stuff.

I have dinner reservations for 6pm - early Valentine's Day. Looks like I'll be driving home in the snow. A few drinks will make the trip more interesting...it's only 3 miles. No snow yet.

The snow has begun here in the Northern NJ (just west of NYC). The predicted blizzard conditions are not supposed to begin until overnight...but right now it's just a steady, windy snow.

My daughter's in the same boat. She gets off from work at 4:00 AM. She only works 5 minutes from home, but I'll be restless until I hear her key in the door.

SC, Please be careful. I hate driving in the snow. I have to pick up my daughter at a party tonight, but it's only about a mile away, and I told her to be prepared to leave at the first sign of snow. We're getting some sort of mist here, but no snow yet.

It's always hit-or-miss here at the shore, but if it hits, they're now saying we could get 8-12"... Last time that happened my apartment complex didn't plow us out for almost 3 days!! :rolleyes: But I'm ready... I just went food shopping, have 3 NetFlix discs ready, and plenty of beer and vodka!
