There's more than one guilty party here. When the topic of discussion/debate takes a turn in which any of its participants stoop to name calling or concentrating on the other's posting styles its time to put a stop to it.

Either stick to the merits of your arguments and stop the name calling and innuendoes OR these discussions are gonna be closed.

US Elections are fuelled by lobbyist's dollars; government policy is shaped by the dollar; the invasion of Iraq was for money in the form of oil and contracts. In other words, it was not a holy crusade or a moral war, but an exercise in capitalist expansion!

Agreed; my argument was not anti-American but anti-capitalist in the sense that profit is not a valid motive for war (not against capitalism per se before I get accused of being a communist!!)

No... my argument does not hinge on the US being the only country in Iraq ... its about the reasons behind the war, not the participants in it. It is sufficient that the US was one of the countries involved: indeed, it was the country most heavily involved.
