Well metal isn't really just angry music. I mean, I don't listen to any of that death growl singing but still there are great bands: Black Sabbath, Deep Purple [if you consider it], Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, Motorhead, Black Label Society, Yngwie Malmsteen, Michael Angelo Batio. Not to mention the three-man Cello metal group Apocalyptica.

Most metal or heavy rock sucks today though, and Metallica has since sold out after the Black album.
