I'm not really a fan of MCR nor The Used... But I did hear it, and it was OK.
My only problem is it sounds too similar to the original. When I hear covers of popular songs by other largely popular bands, I enjoy hearing them add their own artistic touches to it... It gives it a bit more character, I suppose.

Bowie's solo stuff is by far better, buy "the rise and fall of ziggy stardust and the spidars from mras" if you can, or download some stuff, i suggest 'man who sold the world', 'absoulute beginners' 'life on mars' etc to start off with.

Now, Weezer, is more to my likes. I love them... They are one of my favorite bands, behind Radiohead.
But I must admit... I really did not like "Make Believe" at all. *Shudders*

Make Believe is so good dude... 'Hold Me' is my favorite song. I love Rivers Cuomo. FDR, Tupac, and Rivers. That's a day for me...
I'm really feeling these Used CDs right now though.

I don't know... I guess it does kind of take a few spins to get into it, but I feel casual Weezer fans will see it as a piece of crap, and most of the diehard fans will have a hard time getting into it; I know I have. It just doesn't hold up to their earlier work, like Pinkerton, I suppose. I also feel that maybe it had a hard time to follow up Maladroit, which I feel was one of the great rock albums of this decade, so far.
From best to worse, I feel their albums rank:
1.) Pinkerton 2.) Weezer (The Blue Album) 3.) Maladroit 4.) Weezer (The Green Album) 5.) Make Believe
