[/b][/quote]When I was in Sicily I saw calamari on the menu, so I ordered it. They brought me a whole grilled squid!! It tasted great, if you could get past the aesthetics (Plaw, did I spell that right? :p ).

That same evening, my daughter ordered spaghetti with shrimp. They brought the shrimp heads and all. She could NOT stop gagging.

Oh, gross... I love shrimp, but it's a whole different ballgame when it's the whole thing, head and all. I can't get past the antennae and the eyes. Ugh.

Seeing the whole squid is gross, too. I never eat the tentacles anyway, even when it's all cut up the way we're used to seeing it. But it's even uglier when it's all still intact!

Well, it was a little bizarre, the way it kind of just quivered on the plate. It really did taste good, though. Apologies for hijacking the thread.
