Mig that's because of the latest terror event last week. I'm sure it's not permanent and like I said, they are more strict with the UK/US flights.

However, I do know that liquid make-up, lotions, perfumes, hairsprays, contact solutions, eyedrops, soft drinks and a list of others, as of yesterday were not allowed as carry-ons. You need to put them all in your checked bags. I really don't mind the precaution, but I just brought a nice carry-on bag for just those things.
