Speaking of dresses, do you guys have a hard time finding simple sundresses???? I agree with SB that they can be much more comfortable than even shorts, but I'll be damn if I can find any here. It's all skirts, or if I do see a sundress it's really ugly with big ol' daisies on it or something.

I know what you mean TIS. Everything these days is geared for the teenagers. We all don't have those bodies. I just like whatever covers most.

UGH! I agree. I wanted something simple to wear to my daughter's Sweet Sixteen. It seemed that everything was rather gauzy with flimsy straps. That is NOT going to hold up this body. That, or they were muu-muu's. Not easy to find something in-between.

No, not really.

When it gets really hot I prefer shorts.

Dresses were never my style.

I think the dress code for all the gals attending should be short shorts and high heels.

Same here Mig. They were always thongs. If you wore thongs on your feet today, you'd look mighty weird.

I remember wearing short shorts for you one time. I think it's your time to return the favor.

And they showed off some really nice gams. But you lose points because you didn't wear heels (big deal that we walked about 200 miles that day).

It's a small world. I shared this with MIG and now decided to share this with the rest here.

While on my cruise I met this guy and his family. It just so happens that they were from Philadelphia. Well anyway one afternoon we were having a drink together in the Cigar lounge and I told him that I was going to Philly in August to meet a bunch of friends ( yeah JG, I still consider you a friend :p ) for the weekend.

So he asks me why we chose Philly, where we were staying and what we planned to do. So I went on to explain to him about this website, about it being a Godfather movie based site, etc. etc, and how we actually picked Philly because of the Moshulu.

He tells me " Well if you are going to be down at Penns Landing where the Moshulu is, I suggest that you try and get over to a restaurant called La Veranda for dinner one evening."

So of course my eyes pop open and I tell him very breifly of how we were undecided and going back and forth in choosing a place for our saturday night dinner and how we finally decided on La Veranda.

He says that we made an "excellent choice" and that it was much better than the food over at the Moshulu.

It winds up that he is very good friends with the owners of La Veranda and he gave me their names along with his and told me to call ahead and ask for the owners and tell them that I was on a cruise with him and that we became friends and that he said that they should take care of us.

I will be calling them a few days before we go there.

It's really a small world.

Sounds very good, DC. I don't suppose you met anyone from Shula's? :p

I was just saying that now that Philly is only a few weeks away (how is that possible, when I feel that we were just trying to figure out where and when to have it?), that I'm really starting to get excited. This should be so much fun. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone again, and meeting some new people for the first time. Even though I've seen her picture on here before, why oh why do I get the feeling that when I look for TIS in the crowd, I'm going to be looking for Carmella???

I know what you mean SB!! With those I have met, I no longer picture the avator (although I can't see a Bogey movie and not think of SC for some reason )

Just look for the shortest (most likely) and the oldest person in the group. You'll find me. :p I am really looking forward to it.
