Hey Beth, How far are you from Philly? Long drive? Or are you flying? At least the weather should be really nice. TIS

Becky got everybody a rate of $89 a night cuz of her discount. If you have a problem let me know asap. Thanks

Hi Mig, Ok, I tried calling the first number and it rang and rang with no answer. I assume maybe with the time difference, no one is there. So then I tried Erica's number and she was in a meeting. I left a message saying who I was, mentioned Becky, and left my number. Hopefully, that will do it. Thanks Mig TIS

Ok, It's about 6:30 a.m. here. I just called again and asked for Abe. I was told that personal calls are not allowed. I explained that it wasn't a personal call and I was told to ask for him. The lady on the phone quickly cut me off and said she'd direct me to the manager. I hung up because I am leaving for work and don't have time to be put on hold and explain the situation "again." I left a message yesterday for Erica, and haven't heard back. I will try her again, if I can at work, or at lunch. It is a little frustrating. I'll keep you posted. Never had such a hard time reserving a hotel room before. TIS

I just called and had no problem. Here's how it went: I called the 215-923-0100 number and was greeted by the operator. I told her "I wanted to confirm my reservation", and she transferred me to Reservations where I was on hold for about a minute. They picked up, I told them the same thing, and that someone at corporate had reserved a block of rooms for our group under our own names. She asked for which date (Aug 18) and my name, and there it was. She confirmed it was for 2 nights. I asked her if it was for $89/night and I was put on hold again for about a minute; she returned and said yes, it was, but because it was reserved this way she needed my address, phone number, and credit card number. I told her yes, that's why I'm calling. (And I'm thinking to myself how smoothly this is going ) She then asked if I wanted Smoking or Non. She then asked if I wanted an email confirmation, and I said yes, and gave her my email address -- and, badda beep badda bap badda boop! I just got it. At the end she asked if there was anything else she could help me with, and I asked her name (Tara) and told her that a lot of people where having problems confirming their reservations and she apologized and said that normally reservations are confirmed with peoples' addresses, but once she knew that someone else had made the reservation in my name, she was able to find it no problem. I asked her if people could contact her directly since she knew the situation, and she said unfortunately they don't have direct lines, but if everyone calling explained that "the room was reserved in their name by someone else", then it shouldn't be a problem. She apologized again for those who had trouble, and cheerfully wished me a nice day. So, hope that helps

Mig, you have nothing to feel sorry about. It seems as if the reservation experience is directly related to who is answering the phone. JG took care of his reservation with NO problem. Of course, that's because they probably recognized the great Don's name, and were afraid to be in his disfavor. I just confirmed mine for Saturday the 19th, and it went as smoothly as JG's experience. As for the parking, that's actually pretty reasonable for a city hotel. When my husband and I stay in Manhattan, it's usually $50 for hotel parking. Is it too early to get excited about seeing you guys??

"dun dun dun.....Hallelujua, Hallelujua......dun dun dun Hallelujua, Hallelujua" :p Praise theLord!!!! I did it!! Geez, I simply followed Geoff's script word for word. Talked to someone named Kayla (or something like that). 4th time's a charm. Btw, she said if you don't have a vehicle, you don't pay parking. I thought we everyone had to pay. And Mig, please do NOT feel bad. These things happen and it most certainly is not your fault. I appreciate all that you and Becky have done to help us get these rooms. TIS

I'm having a heavy duty suspension added to the cart to handle the load. I haven't really looked but I'd bet they have a breakfast buffet. (If not we can always find one nearby).

SC did you have any trouble?? Actually it was DC, Geoff and Lori. I was already in dreamland at that point (until the electricity went out). I haven't tried yet, Mig. Lori will probably call tomorrow.
